Learning to use blender

Unreal Development Kit (UDK) First Level - 02

They are slow but I want to make sure I learn every trick I can. Here is my first level with static meshes being placed. I am going to try to keep a list of features that I like about the UDK over the Valve's open Source engine and hammer. The first one has to be hammer doesn't scale static meshes or objects from 3d software like UDK does. In UDK you can scale its size right in the UDK.

New focus incoming

I made an early new years resolution to finish my left 4 dead level I started. I hope to have it finished before 2010 is over. This would be a big accomplishment for me because I have started many levels for duke nukem 3d, blood, counter-strike and day of defeat, and only finished 1.

I also decided to use my blog to track my progress so it hopefully keeps me on track, so this blog will now be a mix of my findings and thoughts still, but now mapping also.

My first post is to show that yesterday 12/1/09 I finished adding the bathrooms to the office building i was making. I still need to add the sink and mirror. It took me over an hour because after awhile of adjusting the size of the room I had to look up how to do the stalls. I am only worrying about structure and not doing textures until after. In the past i tried to do everything at once and got overwhelmed. So here's some pictures of what I got so far:

This is very nerdy but apparently people are trying to look into the timeline of zelda and put the games in some sort of order. I gave up on that after OOT, and just figured it was a totally different game each time, no connection to be made to the other games. But I am across these zelda fanatics and they have to say about the same thing each time with some varity. Also apparently there are single time line believers and split time line believers. I think the split time line is more believable because the world wouldn't just end after link gets sent back, those people would still exist in that time line... well it's up to you to decide, this is what I watched in this order:

It's been awhile

It has been awhile but I have so much, so it makes up for it.

First up its the best game in the world The Last Guardian. If you played Shadow of the Colossus or Ico for ps2 then you will love this game.. if you haven't played Shadow of the Colossus then you need to buy it and play it now.

There is one game that I will always remember. It was my very first multiplayer game for the computer, and a good game altogether. Duke Nukem 3D. "Hail to the king, baby". It was also the first game that I made custom levels for.

There was an announcement that 3d Realms closed, and people are going crazy, but 3D realms was a part of http://www.apogeesoftware.com/ and Apogee Software is still around so its going to be okay right?

They are still making Duke Nukem trilogy, which everyone should support the Duke by purchasing so maybe they will make Duke Nukem Forever. PLEASE!

I just had a 5 hour energy for the first time, and I decided to go with the extra strength one.
If you don't exercise as much as you should, I recommend (with all energy drinks), to drink half, then wait 1 hour, and then finish it. That's what I did cause I didn't want any accidents with my heart or anything. I have to agree with this blog that it is okay tasting, and it gave me so much energy. I was a little jittery, but no crash, just slowly getting tired after the 5 hours at a normal rate.
